- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of mechanics or technicians.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in the transportation industry.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
- Associate degree or higher in automotive technology, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.
- Certification from recognized bodies such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) in diesel engines.
- Experience with fleet management software and maintenance tracking systems.
- Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives and lean maintenance practices.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of technicians to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and repair protocols for diesel engines and related equipment.
- Diagnose complex mechanical issues and oversee their timely and effective resolution.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
