Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN OR Circulator for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1-2 years of OR experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Operating Room department with 5 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites,
• Specialties include general surgery, plastics, pain management, ophthalmology, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and vascular procedures,
• Adult and geriatric patient population with 1:1 patient ratios,
• Uses specialized equipment including RFA machine, Sentinel Node, plastics equipment, VASER lipo suction, phaco machine, and ERBE electrosurgical unit,
• Currently using OR Manager Picis EHR, transitioning to Meditech OR Manager,
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM,
• Every other weekend required,
• Late stay call required Monday-Thursday (3-5 PM), with no scheduled cases after 5 PM daily,
• Floating to PACU may be required but is not guaranteed,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (AL or compact) required,
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred,
• 1-2 years of OR circulator experience required,
• Associate's degree in nursing required,
• Skillset to support general surgery, plastics, pain management, ophthalmology, endoscopy, and vascular procedures,
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Perform circulating duties for procedures including pain injections, eye surgeries, EGD, colonoscopy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, wound debridement, port insertion/removal, breast implant procedures, AV grafts, fistulograms, and tunneled catheter placements,
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays,
• Scrubs provided by facility,
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility,
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible,
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
