Talent Acquisition Recruiter

American Spirit Corporation is expanding its talent team with a Talent Acquisition Recruiter responsible for full-cycle recruitment for Carlson Print Group and Carlson Packaging Solutions. This hybrid role combines on-site duties in Eden Prairie, Minnesota with a weekly day at the Howard Lake location, while also supporting onboarding, records management, benefits administration, and HR compliance as part of a collaborative people operations function. Responsibilities Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and design effective recruitment strategies. Source top talent through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and direct outreach. Screen applicants, coordinate interviews, conduct reference and background checks, drug testing, and prepare employment offers. Ensure a positive, professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation. Oversee the contract recruiting process for temporary and contract positions. Serve as the primary liaison for staffing agencies and recruiting vendors. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with agency representatives. Maintain employee records and HR documentation. Assist with company event planning. Support benefits administration and HR compliance. Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture. Requirements Minimum of two years in human resources with a strong emphasis on recruiting. Self-starter who can work efficiently independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality. Comfortable interacting with colleagues at various levels of the organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); HRIS/Payroll experience preferred; familiarity with Paylocity a plus. General knowledge of employment laws and HR practices. Valid driver’s license; travel to the Howard Lake location required. Experience working with staffing agencies or managing contract recruiting preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required. Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office, and online recruiting platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
