Seeking two dedicated professionals for contract Certified School Nurse opportunities in a dynamic educational environment. These roles are based in Romeoville, Illinois and are ideal for those passionate about fostering student health and well-being throughout the academic year, running from approximately August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

There are two open positions: one at a high school (7:15 a.m. – 2:25 p.m.) and one at an elementary school (8:25 a.m. – 3:40 p.m.). Certified School Nurses will assume comprehensive responsibility for the health office, conduct detailed medical reviews, and play a vital role in IEP and 504 processes—these are integral, interconnected aspects of this impactful role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with active PEL endorsement for Certified School Nurse (CSN)—this requirement exceeds a standard RN license.
• Completed or in-progress CSN certification coursework (typically 1-2 years).
• Experience as a Certified School Nurse, especially within educational settings.
• Spanish-English bilingual proficiency is highly valued.
• Demonstrated dependability, strong attendance, and reliability.
• Proven flexibility, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily health office operations and student care management.
• Complete thorough medical evaluations and documentation.
• Actively participate in IEP and 504 meetings, contributing expertise to support students with diverse needs.
• Serve as a health resource and advocate within the school community.
