Job Title: Purchasing Assistant Location: Newbury Park, CA Pay Range: $20-$25hr. Time Frame: 3-6 months with Temp to Hire Option General Responsibilities Reviews purchase requests, develops supply sources, prepares bid specifications and bid requests. Reviews departmental purchase requisitions to verify completeness and accuracy of information. Identifies proper and reliable sources to fulfill internal customer needs described by Purchasing requisitions on time. Supports the sourcing buyer on activities related to cost reduction. Assists the buyer by following the global strategy. Assists the buyer in reviewing commercial contracts. Organizes deliveries and supplies in order to fulfill internal/ production requirements. Follows-up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods and services. Works with internal customers to review spare part drawings and specifications to provide sourcing recommendations to meet business needs. Assists members of the procurement team carry out their role/duties with various administrative tasks.
