Automotive Technician - Full-Time

The position involves vehicle repair, manufacturer recall and warranty service, preventive maintenance, in‑fleeting, vehicle certification and reconditioning services, performed according to company policy and procedures. Schedule options: Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm or Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Location: Richmond Service Center, 5741 Gulfstream Road, Richmond, VA 23250. Benefits

  • 28 – $32 per hour starting pay with overtime available, dependent on ASE or Factory Certifications – no flat rate.
  • 2 per hour pay differential for second shift.

Responsibilities Ensure all repairs and preventive maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines. Complete required manufacturer’s training and perform warranty and recall repairs. Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training. Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a repair order to accurately reflect steps taken and parts used during the repair. Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventive maintenance. Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures. Utilize multiple manufacturer websites, software, and diagnostic tools. Process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation, or buy‑backs as required. Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition. Perform manual labor, including bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Handle objects up to 50 pounds with long periods of standing and walking. Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as required. Qualifications Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles. OEM Level III Certification or 4 current ASE certifications. Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 convicted moving violations and/or at‑fault accidents; no drug or alcohol incidents in the past 3 years; driving record points cannot exceed 8. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. VA State Inspection Certification preferred. Ownership of standard hand tools for repairing and maintaining current vehicles (produced in the last 3 years). Ability to complete a pre‑employment drug test and subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Except for religious observation, able to work a full‑time shift on one of the following schedules: Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm; Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
