Licensed Occupational Therapist

In the role of a full-time or part-time Licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assess the functional capabilities of residents and create tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing their independence in everyday tasks. Your responsibilities will include delivering hands-on therapy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the provision of high-quality rehabilitation services that align with the goals of our residents.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ functional, cognitive, and psychosocial needs through standardized evaluations.
• Create and execute individualized treatment plans to enhance daily living skills, mobility, and safety.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including training on adaptive equipment, therapeutic exercises, and functional retraining.
• Provide education to residents, families, and staff regarding strategies to support rehabilitation objectives.
• Accurately document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Preferred experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
• A compassionate approach and dedication to enhancing residents’ quality of life.
