Job Title: NDT Technician Job Description

As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for verifying the conformance of products to shop drawings and contract requirements. This will involve conducting dimensional checks using a tape measure for fitter quality checks, visually inspecting welds, and performing NDT testing including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional checks using a tape measure for drawings.

• Conduct visual inspections of welds.

• Execute NDT testing including MT, RT, and UT.

• Ensure quality control and compliance with contract requirements.

Essential Skills

• NDT Level II certification

• Experience in welding and inspection

• Proficiency in UT, MP, RT, and NDT testing

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Strong visual inspection skills

• Expertise in quality control/testing

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with x-ray, ultrasonic, and mag particle testing

• Experience in a fabrication shop is a must

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is a plus

Work Environment

You will work in an industrial fabrication shop that can be hot, dirty, and dusty, with 2-5 open fans providing ventilation. It is an open-air facility where personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential. Candidates must bring their own hard hat and boots (strap-up leather or steel-toed), while ear and eye protection are provided. No medications or certifications are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
