Billing Follow Up Representative

To support moderately complex billing processes, the full-time Billing Follow Up Representative will manage insurance claims follow-up, ensuring accurate reimbursement and compliance while working remotely. Key responsibilities Independently review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge to resolve outstanding claims Communicate with internal teams and external customers to validate and correct billing information Compile and maintain accurate documentation of all billing activities for assigned accounts Required qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment Basic knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) preferred Proficiency in operating computer and software systems used in billing Ability to read and interpret documents such as explanations of benefits (EOB)
