Job Responsibilities
  • Craft Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' individual needs and create bespoke therapy plans to assist them in reaching their functional milestones.
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based practices to improve patients' physical abilities, cognitive functions, and everyday activities.
  • Collaborate with Multifaceted Teams: Partner with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, medical doctors, and nursing staff to deliver holistic and well-rounded care.
  • Educate Patients and Their Families: Provide guidance to patients and their caretakers on therapy methods to enable ongoing progress in a home setting.
  • Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and make adjustments to therapy as needed to keep patients on track.
Education
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
  • Ongoing education or advanced certifications are encouraged and supported.
Certifications
  • Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification mandatory.
Required Skills
  • A genuine passion for helping individuals achieve their maximum level of independence.
  • Effective and empathetic communication skills for engaging with patients and team members.
  • Creative thinking capabilities to adapt therapy plans to suit diverse needs.
  • Confidence working solo as well as integrated within a close-knit, interdisciplinary team.
