Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Operator to operate and support high-speed packaging, cutting, and press equipment in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for machine setup, changeovers, production monitoring, packaging, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging, cutting, and press equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and equipment resets for production runs
• Monitor production batches and troubleshoot or report issues as needed
• Package, label, and document finished products accurately
• Assist with routine mechanical tasks, including equipment disassembly and reassembly
• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of production equipment
• Maintain GMP compliance and follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and production-ready
• Train and support new operators as needed

Essential Skills

• Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment; GMP experience preferred
• Experience with high-speed packaging equipment, filling, capping, labeling, cutting, or press machinery
• Strong mechanical aptitude with machine setup and changeover experience
• Ability to follow production procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment

Work Environment

This role is based in a general manufacturing environment within a smaller, temperature-controlled plant. You will primarily work on your feet throughout the shift while operating and monitoring packaging, cutting, and pressing equipment, as well as related systems such as heat exchangers and vacuum pumps. The work involves handling raw materials and chemicals in a regulated GMP setting, following strict safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MEMPHIS, TN.

The pay range for this position is $19.13 - $19.13/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in MEMPHIS,TN.
