Responsibilities Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including feasibility review, scope definition, estimate, schedule, engineering design, equipment and material selection, project bidding, contractor selection, construction oversight, change management, safety, environmental oversight, and all other tasks required to accomplish the goals of capital projects. Collaborate with affected departments during Phase‑Gated Front‑End Loading (Conceptual, Feasibility, and Definition) to vet resource estimates, schedules, business benefits, and environmental/health/safety impacts. Facilitate technical reviews to ensure detailed engineering meets corporate standards. Develop project feasibility studies and support economic analysis to determine viability. Prepare decision support packages for review and approval by management. Manage DOT‑regulated pipeline integrity repair programs and maintenance projects, including oversight of field construction teams executing OQ‑required work. Select inspection companies and coordinate with third‑party construction integrity services to complete repairs in accordance with DOT regulations. Work with project field teams to ensure proper execution aligned with company directives of safety, quality, and reliable operations. Manage multiple stakeholder feedback and drive clear alignment and communication across multidisciplinary project teams. Monitor and control project performance during the execution phase to meet agreed quality, cost, and time parameters safely and environmentally soundly. Collaborate with Project Controls on project administration (scheduling, estimating, cost management). Conduct productivity analysis to identify and resolve critical variances. Coordinate with Procurement on the development of contracting plans, including engineering and execution resources. Identify risk factors, rank them by threat level, and implement risk response plans, including HAZOPS and PHAs. Analyze collected data to identify operational optimization trends. Support the Electrical Engineering team on electrical projects, including power utilization optimization and safe energized electrical work practices. Manage multiple projects simultaneously of varying magnitude and complexity from conception to commissioning and start‑up. Maintain accurate, thorough, and current project documentation. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering. Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) for the duration of the experience. Strong academic performance. Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time indefinite basis without the need for employment‑visa sponsorship now or in the future. Availability to work 40 hours per week; positions available in Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters, with preference for multiple work terms. Willingness to spend time in the field monitoring and managing field activities at natural gas and light crude facilities; a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel may be required. Military experience is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: Minimum $32.92 per hour – Maximum $42.45 per hour for Colorado residents.
