Clinical Audiologist

Augusta Audiology Associates, P.C. is a well established, patient friendly, private practice seeking a dispensing audiologist who is self-motivated and passionate about helping people with hearing impairment. We are located in the medical office building on the campus of the Augusta Health Medical Facility in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Qualifications: Masters in Audiology or Au.D. Degree. Active or eligible for Virginia Audiologist License. Active or eligible for Virginia Hearing Aid Specialist License. ABAC helpful but not required. Meets with the patient to discuss and review types of amplification and technology options that meet his/her needs to formulate a patient care plan. Incorporates tinnitus assessment and management as needed. Dispenses amplification to include selection of technology along with earmolds or tips, programming, fitting, patient orientation and counseling as well as follow-up care. Provides live speech mapping, real ear measurements and other verification procedures. Manages patient phone calls or unscheduled visits for hearing aid problems. Coordinates ordering devices, returns, exchanges and repairs. Provides in office hearing aid repair or modification when possible. Schedules and performs hearing aid checks and cleaning. Makes appropriate physician referrals and coordinates care as needed. Provides referral sources with written reports and maintains chart notes.
