This new team member will be responsible for overseeing activities within the Global Data Science & Analytics team related to the Vascular business unit. You will lead and execute data analytics projects that generate impactful real-world evidence and insights related to medical device technology, relevant disease states, and healthcare economics. In addition, you will support digital health and data science initiatives. You will work with different types of real-world data, developing creative ways to analyze and present your results. As a leader of the GDSA team, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify business needs, develop strategy, identify appropriate data sources and analytic methods, and execute projects on specified timelines. You will lead a cross-functional team of clinical researchers, analysts, data scientists, and data engineers in project planning and execution. You will interact with key opinion leaders in the healthcare space, including physicians, regulators, and payors. Your work will support healthcare decisions by patients, physicians, health authorities, payers, and policy makers.What You’ll Work OnCollaborate with counterparts across functional domains to understand business needs and develop strategy, with the ultimate goal of reducing the burden of clinical trials by generating clinical and economic evidence with the use of real-world data.Oversee analyses using varied healthcare data types, including electronic health records, hospital administrative data, and insurance claims data.Serve as a subject matter expert for real-world evidence studies across the business.Partner with leaders in clinical affairs, regulatory, medical affairs and marketing for project selection and prioritization.Communicate with regulatory agencies and payer organizations on real-world evidence studies.Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders in the healthcare industry.Prepare and oversee preparation of conference presentations and scientific manuscripts.Prepare and oversee preparation of real-world evidence protocols and reports for regulatory agencies.Lead digital health and data science initiatives that deliver clinical and business insights.Manage timelines and deliverables for a portfolio of projects.Serve as a functional manager to scientists and analysts.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 10 years related work experience.Clinical evidence generation experiencePreferredQualifications:Ph.D. and 10+ years of experience or MS and 15+ years of experience in biomedical engineering, health/biomedical sciences, epidemiology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, public health or related field10 years working experience with progressive roles in clinical research, biomedical research, health economics and outcomes research, or data science in healthcareExperience leading teams, managing projects, and making effective decisionsExcellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to prepare protocols and/or scientific manuscriptsStrong knowledge of statistical methodsAbility to come up with innovative data analysis and presentation strategiesExperience with analytical software tools such as R, SAS, Python, SQL. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Databricks is a plusKnowledge of coronary and peripheral vascular medical devices a plusIDE, risk management, and/or clinical evaluation experience.Management experience in other clinical operations and/or regulatory affairs positions.
