Entry Level Generator Technician

We are hiring a dependable and skilled Entry Level Generator Technician to join our growing team. This field‑based role is ideal for candidates with mechanical and electrical repair experience—particularly with small engines, standby generators, or automatic transfer switches (ATS). Location: Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Key Responsibilities Travel to residential job sites using a company‑provided service vehicle Perform complete install on whole‑home standby generators Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals Connect with customers regarding services performed and recommendations Accurately document all work in our service management software Follow safety protocols and industry best practices when working around electricity Support emergency service calls during weather‑related outages or storms, as needed Qualifications 1+ years of experience in generator electrical work Strong customer service and verbal communication skills Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals Comfortable working in the field with minimal supervision High school diploma or equivalent required Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Physically able to perform job duties, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in outdoor environments Familiarity with residential generator systems and ATS technology is a plus Position Details Job type: Full-time Compensation: Based on experience and skill level Travel: Local/regional using a company‑provided vehicle Benefits A positive and collaborative work environment Voluntary Life Insurance Short and Long Term Disability Medical, Dental and Vision Company work truck provided Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Training & development Why Join Generator Supercenter?
