Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3 Shifts per Week | Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Labor, deliver, and recover mothers, and receive and transition newborns including full assessment within an LDRP unit setting
• Perform and assist with procedures including C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries
• Manage inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil, and apply fetal monitoring skills throughout the labor process
• Respond to and manage OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Conduct daily patient rounding and safety rounding on all patients
• Utilize documentation systems and central monitoring equipment including IV pumps, infant warmers, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Charge nurse experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification
• Fetal monitoring training and certification
• Experience with labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in an LDRP environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Familiarity with Meditech and CPN documentation systems
• Cross-training or experience in NICU intermediate care settings
