Job Summary
Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing patient care duties and supporting activities within the operating room suite. The role requires demonstrating expertise in procedures, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and assisting with various surgical tasks to ensure quality care and efficient operation.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides specific patient care duties and supports activities in the operating room suite, adhering to institutional practices and policies, including safety and compliance standards.
• Certifications/Education/Experience: Minimum of high school education preferred, with at least three years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting. Familiarity with approved operating room technician programs or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training is preferred. BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week; start time at 6:30 a.m. with on-call responsibilities of 12 hours during weekends and 20 hours on weekdays, with a 30-minute response time. Scheduled shifts include every other weekend with the possibility of one shift cancellation per pay period without pay.
• Skills and Requirements: Strong ortho, neuro, and robotics experience; proficiency with surgeon's preference cards, count policies, and instrumental tray management; knowledge of HIPAA, safety, compliance, TB testing, and teaching responsibilities.
• Additional Responsibilities: Picking cases based on surgeon preference, documenting critical data, communicating effectively with team members, and participating in process improvements.
• Submission: Candidates must demonstrate the required skills and certifications and be available to start on 10/05/2026, with contract end date of 01/02/2027.
