Description: Unit: Endoscopy/GI lab Procedure rooms: 3 bays Number of procedures per day: 15-30 Certifications: RN - BLS, ACLS, procedural sedation competency test Weekend requirement: Call only Holiday requirement: Call only Call schedule: M-F 1500-0700 and Sat/Sun 0700-0700 Two required M-F call shifts per week Two required weekend days per month Scrub color: Provided In-house Hospitalist or Intensivist: Call after hours IV Team: Not available Respiratory Therapy: 24/7 available Pharmacy: 24/7 available Shifts: M-F 8-hour shifts with start times between 07:00-10:00 depending on the case schedule Floating: Not required Floor-specific orientation: A week or until comfortable Common cases/procedures: ERCP, EGD, PEGs, all scopes May go to OR for a GI procedure Some bronchoscopies with respiratory therapy support Cancellation policy: Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting system: Cerner BSN required: True Trauma level: Not specified Care setting: Acute Division: Nursing Shift notes: 8-hour days with varied starts, call required, every other weekend required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
