Senior Systems Engineer (System Integration) (Onsite)

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to a mission‑focused government customer within the Intelligence Community. The successful candidate will lead planning, coordination, and execution of moderately complex integration initiatives, ensuring new capabilities are effectively integrated into operational environments. This position requires close collaboration with government stakeholders to facilitate system readiness. The role is performed in a SCIF environment and offers flexible work hours for a healthy work‑life balance. Location: Alexandria, Virginia. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate project activities by working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful integration, execution, and delivery of mission‑critical capabilities. Leverage Satellite Operations expertise to support assigned projects, enterprise‑wide efforts, and customer‑directed initiatives. Serve as an advisor on Satellite Operations topics and capabilities; support system testing, verification, validation, and operational checkout activities. Assist with root cause analysis and anomaly resolution following system outages or degraded performance. Lead cross‑functional interactions and provide support for multiple mission efforts, including the successful integration, transition, and stand‑up of new missions. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience. Experience supporting Satellite Operations and/or mission protection environments. Experience with project management and/or system integration. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor). Experience in enterprise‑level planning, testing, and implementation. An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Customer NSIS, waterfall, and/or agile methodologies. Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) KSA. Working across contract and location boundaries. Atlassian JIRA and Confluence beneficial.
