Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 36-hour weekly guarantee | Every other weekend required (Fri & Sat nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Telemetry unit with PCU-capable beds, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 (Telemetry) and 1:3 (PCU/Stepdown)
• Monitor and validate telemetry interpretations using Philips monitoring systems, documenting findings every 4 hours or more frequently as needed
• Administer and manage IV drip medications including Cardizem, amiodarone, Bumex, Lasix, Integrilin, octreotide, and Protonix
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including AMI, Stroke/TIA, pneumonia, renal/dialysis, AFib with RVR, SIRS, and diabetes mellitus
• Collaborate with 24/7 support services including hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy; coordinate care with charge nurses, HUCs, tele techs, and PCTs
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, including experience in a MedSurg acute care setting
• Ability to independently validate and document telemetry monitor interpretations
• Competency with IV medication administration including cardiac drips
• Ability to work every other weekend per unit requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of Telemetry or PCU/Stepdown nursing experience
• Prior experience caring for patients requiring high-flow oxygen or home CPAP management
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
