AWS Cloud Security Engineer - Hybrid

DescriptionKforce has a client in need of an AWS Cloud Security Engineer. This role will work on a hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite in San Diego, CA.Key Responsibilities:* AWS Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and enhance cloud security controls across AWS environments* Monitor, investigate, and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents* Conduct security assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies* Partner with infrastructure, application, and engineering teams to integrate security best practices* Develop and maintain cloud security standards, policies, and architecture* As a AWS Cloud Security Engineer, you will support the security of AI/ML-related platforms, data pipelines, and deployment environments* Lead security-focused projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field* 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or security engineering* 3+ years of hands-on AWS security experience* Experience with AI/ML technology required* Experience with incident response, threat detection, risk assessments, and vulnerability management* Strong knowledge of IAM, CloudTrail, Security Hub, GuardDuty, KMS, VPC, and related AWS services* Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences* AWS Security certification required; Additional security certifications are a plusJob TypeDirect HireCompensation170000 - $200000
