Responsibilities include receiving prescriptions, interpreting prescriptions, reviewing patient's medication profile/history, utilizing and analyzing patient data to provide optimal drug therapy recommendations, compounding and overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications, complying with the medication formulary, counseling patients and appropriate family members regarding pharmaceutical care issues, directing workflow of the shift, adhering to federal, state, local and institutional policies, identifying and participating in process improvement opportunities, and precepting students, residents and training new pharmacy staff.

Education Requirements: PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree. Licensure/Certification Requirements: Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or obtainable before initiation of employment. Professional Experience Requirements: No prior experience required.
