Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a paraprofessional for the 2026–2027 school year in Lehigh County. This contract opportunity offers impactful assignments in Multiple Disabilities Support (MDS) classrooms, with immediate needs across both functional and behavioral settings. Hours range from 32.5 to 35 per week for school-age placements, or 29 hours for preschool early intervention, aligning with the school calendar. Specific school locations will be determined according to district needs—with efforts to consider your preferences whenever possible.

What We're Looking For:

• At least one year of experience in a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or special education setting
• Meets one of Pennsylvania’s paraprofessional requirements:
  • 48+ college credits
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Passing a qualifying state/local assessment (CDA certificate or Credential of Competency)
• Willingness to obtain para certification within onboarding, if needed
• Availability for consistent, on-time arrival for the full school-day schedule (starting as early as 7:00am)
• Comfortable supporting students with a variety of needs—including personal care, behavior management, and classroom engagement
• Flexibility should assignments or locations change within Lehigh County
• Able to complete all onboarding and clearances within 3 weeks of hire

What You'll Do:

• Provide one-on-one or group support to students with multiple disabilities
• Assist with classroom activities, behavioral interventions, and implementation of IEPs
• Support students’ personal care needs (lifting, feeding, toileting, etc.)
• Collaborate proactively with teachers and staff to promote a positive learning environment
