Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department (ED) Perform rapid assessment, triage, and prioritization of care Communicate patient status with physicians and interdisciplinary teams Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments Educate patients and families on care and discharge instructions Report suspected abuse/neglect per regulatory requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Current and valid state RN License. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below): EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire. Non-OB facilities: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
