Powder Line Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Powder Line Technician to join our manufacturing team. This is not an entry-level position . We are looking for someone with previous industrial painting or coating experience who can contribute immediately with minimal training.

As a Powder Line Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Loading and unloading parts on and off the powder coating line.
• Masking and plugging holes, threads, and designated areas on parts prior to coating.
• Preparing and cleaning parts before the coating process.
• Inspecting parts to ensure proper preparation and coating quality.
• Packaging finished parts and customer orders for shipment or transfer to inventory.
• Following established safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Schedule

We currently have openings on the following shifts:

1st Shift

• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

2nd Shift

• Monday through Thursday
• 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

OVERTIME IS REQUIRED BASED ON PRODUCTION NEEDS.

PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months of hands-on industrial painting or coating experience.
• Previous experience preparing, masking, plugging, loading, unloading, and inspecting painted or coated metal parts.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position independently with minimal training.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to producing quality work with a zero-defect mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Powder coating experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with industrial wet paint (liquid paint) experience will also be considered.
• Experience operating or working on an industrial paint or powder coating line.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for the duration of the work shift.
• Ability to reach, bend, turn, twist, and walk throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds .
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
