BlueFin is based in Lafayette, LA.Job SummaryThe Project Manager II is responsible for managing projects within Pipeline, Process, and Industrial Services Division. This position is responsible for planning all aspects of the job such as equipment, personnel, costs, resource allocation while adhering to QHSE standards. The Project Manager II guides and instructs field personnel by clearly communicating to the assigned Lead or Supervisor to properly execute the job as planned. Works directly with the President, District Manager, and Estimators in order to provide the most profitable and economical solutions to the client's needs. The Project Manager II is a valued position who is responsible for delivering a successfully executed project and positive experience to our clients.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead project planning and implementation for larger and more complex projects compared to Level IMonitor project progress against both the schedule and budget, adjusting as necessary to ensure project successMentor and guide Level I Project Managers and other junior staffDevelop risk mitigation strategies to handle potential project challengesEnsure compliance with more stringent QHSE standards and manage higher-risk projectsFacilitate more complex stakeholder meetings and negotiationsDrive continuous improvement in project management processes and techniquesManage & oversee projects from start to finish, following the approved budgetUnderstand and manage QHSE risks throughout the project, ensuring BlueFin processes and systems meet or exceed client requirementsHave a clear understanding of project deliverables and client expectationsPerform on-site Project Management duties as requestedServe as technical point of contact for various projects as requestedAssist the Estimator in bidding jobsKeep track of daily costs and ensure proper documentation is completedClearly communicate project directions to the assigned job Lead or SupervisorUtilize Purchase Order (PO) process for all job-related purchasesPerform Site Visits as requiredOrganize, administer and attend pre-bid, pre-job, post-job, and project meetings internally and with clientsWrite Project Work Plans (PWP), Project Completion Reports (PCR), and other project related technical documentationAbility to develop, communicate and maintain client relationships at all levelsAssist with developing training criteria for field employees as well as provide continuous feedback on job performance during and after projectsReport, document and communicate all elements of Quality and Safety as relevant and within the scope of your assignmentsVerifies the time for personnel allocated to respective projectsUpdate resource management data in various software's as requiredUnderstand and adhere to all applicable regulatory standardsEnsure compliance with all BlueFin policies and proceduresEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Education – Degree preferred. 10 years' experience within the energy industry or relevant sector. 5 years of relevant position experience. Some travel may be required.
