Clinical Staff - NursingThe Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct patient care to assigned patients to Women's Health. The MA works under the direct supervision of the clinic nurse(s) by assisting in the examination and treatment of patients.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:High School, GED or formal educational equivalentCurrent BLSCompletion of Accredited Medical Assistant training programExcellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an ambulatory care setting1 or more years of MA experienceJob Requirements:Prepares treatment rooms for examination. Assists with medical procedures and examinations Conducts patient interviews, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and phlebotomy. Performs EKG's, dressing changes.Administers approved medications.
