Details Level III NICU unit within an acute care hospital setting 65-bed unit staffed with 200 team members including RNs, RTs, and unit assistants Care team includes charge nurse, team lead, transport nurse, RNs, RTs, and unit assistants on both day and night shifts Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity Uses isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps EMR systems used include Meditech and CPN Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM On-call requirement 4 weekend shifts per schedule required Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required 2 years of NICU experience required Level 4 NICU experience preferred Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required, Advanced 9th Edition No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months US SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required Additional Information Provide direct nursing care to neonatal ICU patients across a range of acuity levels Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including RTs, transport nurses, and unit assistants Navy scrub color required Team-oriented, positive attitude, and adaptability to change are valued traits Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered Permanent night shift and weekend day positions are also available on this unit American Traveler Job ID P-745508.
