SharePoint Developer 2

The SharePoint Developer 2 is responsible for creating customized SharePoint solutions by configuring and customizing SharePoint systems according to company specifications. This role is also responsible for building scalable web applications on the SharePoint platform, writing, and modifying code, and debugging software. Has advanced skill and knowledge of business applications and software development. This role also provides effective mentoring to the SharePoint Developer 1 positions.

Essential Functions:

• Leads development projects by researching, testing, and recommending business application solutions
• Leads and manages internal & external customers troubleshooting and resolving business application defects on new and upgraded business applications
• Creates all parts of a SharePoint solution: web parts, lists/library, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation, permissions, newsletter, banner, videos, and data management accessible to any device
• Builds workflow forms using SharePoint Designer, and PowerApps/Flow
• Maintains user confidence and protect operations by maintaining the integrity of information in a confidential manner
• Works closely with business units and external customers to establish the development systems design
• Troubleshoots and modifies programs and procedures
• Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality
• Creates scalable SharePoint websites that meet all company design and functionality requirements from initiation to implementation for simple to complex business processes
• Develops documentation, automation, and assistance tools in effort to support all users
• Extends SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies
• Collaborates with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve business application defects on new or upgraded business applications
• Assists with installation, configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting, of third-party business applications
• Develops Web look Intranet Portal Collaboration Intranet Site and Branding on SharePoint platform or using Live Tiles solution
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of full software development life cycle methodologies
• Ability to effectively diagram and clearly communicate software and technical concepts to all business units
• Develops and adheres to IT standards & procedures (SDLC, ITIL, etc.)
• Must have experience building and/or maintaining collaboration sites and/or programs
• Knowledge of the.Net framework (C#), IIS, Azure Active Directory and SharePoint site configuration
• Experience with Powershell & Microsoft Visual Studio
• Ability to adapt and learn new technologies/processes
• Ability to work on independently multiple projects and deal effectively with employees and management
• Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
• Ability to model Holt’s VBL Culture
• Ability to complete Holt’s VBL Classes to include: DISC, POP, SLII, Conflict Resolution and Influencing, and successfully apply the tools

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or related work experience, preferred
• Two to four years of related experience required in a SharePoint developer role using SharePoint online/O365 or SharePoint On Premise required; five years preferred
• Experience in SharePoint site configuration
• Minimum of two years of experience in.NET Web based development;.NET languages (C#, VB .NET), HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery/Angular or other web development tools required
• Knowledge with SQL and related technologies
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps Services and processes preferred
• Experience migrating data from SharePoint Online to SP 2010/2013/2016 using Sharegate, Quest, or Metalogix migration tool preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Travel: Up to 10% and overnight travel may be expected

Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements: This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.

• This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
• Access information using a computer

Work Environment:

• Works primarily in an office environment
• Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
