Atlanta, GA, USA Job Description Nalley Automotive, part of Asbury Automotive Group, is seeking a Master Service Technician for our Atlanta dealership. The Master or Level “A” Service Technician is responsible for understanding and completing complex work necessary for the repair of a customer’s vehicle. This role involves direct work on diagnosis and repair of major components, replacing parts as needed, and performing detailed inspections and road tests. Responsibilities Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Use the multi‑point inspection form accurately for each vehicle. Document all work performed and recommendations on the assigned repair order. Communicate with service advisors about additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards. Conduct road tests to assess necessary work and confirm successful completion. Utilize product and technical training assigned by the manufacturer and management. Participate in manufacturer‑sponsored training programs and schools to continually expand knowledge of new technology. Maintain manufacturer (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index at or above the Asbury specified goal(s) in service for district, regional and national scores. Complete the work, notations and time‑keeping necessary for warranty repair orders and filing warranty claims. Report any situation that could jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employees. Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on automobile and light truck vehicles. Utilize handheld devices to diagnose malfunctions. Assist and help fellow technicians in the shop with vehicle diagnosis. Participate in training and development of novice team members and technicians. Ensure customer vehicles are returned clean as before service. Complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right‑to‑Know. Comply with all federal, state and local laws and company policy regarding safeguarding all customer vehicles, property and information. Qualifications ASE certifications preferred; manufacturer certifications heavily preferred. Previous automotive technician experience required. Basic tools proficiency. Strong technical and mechanical skills. Team player with ability to perform repetitive, complex tasks. Minimum age eighteen years; must have a valid driver’s license.
