HVAC Service Technician

HVAC TechnicianFred F. Collis & Sons has been providing heating, cooling and air quality solutions for over 87 years! We are ever-growing and currently looking to expand our team of customer focused technicians.Evaluate HVAC systems, water heaters, fireplaces and other equipment to assess their condition and identify and perform any necessary repairs or preventive maintenance.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and service all HVAC products on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfactionReview diagnostics and use the proper tools to complete repairsPerform proper preventative maintenance as neededRespond to emergency maintenance requestsProvide final inspection of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safelyFoster good customer relations by explaining the service work performed, providing technical support and making sure they are happy with the job that has been doneAdhere to all safety policies and proceduresPerform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivityRequirements:2-4 years of on the job HVAC service experienceStrong understanding of HVAC systems and how to repair/maintain themSolid experience with hand and power tools, as well as an overall mechanical aptitudeAbility to read and understand wiring diagram and system literatureMust be able to work well independently and in a teamMust be able to be on-call within our on-call rotationAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, in speech and writing with customers and our teamValid driver's license requiredBenefits:Medical Insurance & HSA401(k) with company match up to 4%Paid Time Off / 6 Paid HolidaysCompany Paid LTD and Life InsuranceOn call bonusSales spiffsVacation reimbursementPay is dependent on experience and ranges from $25 - $40/hour.
