AJ’s Security Company LLC is seeking professional, dependable, and highly observant Armed Security Guards to join our growing team. Armed Security Guards protect clients, employees, guests, property, and designated areas while maintaining a professional, approachable security presence.

Assignments may include private events, commercial properties, retail locations, special events, executive protection details, and other client locations throughout the Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible armed security presence
• Protect clients, guests, employees, property, and designated areas
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
• Perform access control and verify authorized entry
• Conduct routine patrols and identify potential safety or security concerns
• Observe, document, and report suspicious activity and security incidents
• Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, and security-related situations
• Use professional verbal de-escalation techniques whenever appropriate
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, employees, guests, and emergency personnel
• Follow company policies, post orders, client instructions, and applicable laws and regulations
• Complete accurate incident reports and end-of-shift reports
• Maintain control and accountability of all authorized security equipment
• Contact law enforcement or emergency services when circumstances require it

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must possess a current California BSIS Security Guard Registration (Guard Card)
• Must possess a current California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit for armed assignments
• Must meet all applicable requirements to lawfully carry a firearm while performing assigned duties
• Must maintain required licenses, permits, and certifications throughout employment
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned locations
• Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to follow instructions
• Strong communication, observation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Must exercise sound judgment and remain calm in high-pressure situations
• Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a security team
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods depending on the assignment
• Previous armed security, military, law-enforcement, or related professional security experience is preferred

Schedule

Positions may be part-time, on-call, event-based, or based on available client assignments . Candidates should have flexibility to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.

Applicants should also be willing to travel to different client locations throughout the Bay Area . Assignment availability may vary based on client needs.

Compensation

Starting pay: approximately $30.00 per hour , depending on the assignment, experience, qualifications, responsibilities, and applicable company pay structure.
