Senior Business/Systems Analyst
Austin, TX | 12+ Month Contract | Onsite

iSphere is looking for a Senior Business/Systems Analyst who enjoys turning complex business questions into clear technical solutions. If you're the type of person who can gather requirements from business stakeholders, work comfortably with large datasets, build meaningful reporting solutions, and explain technical concepts in plain English, this is a role where you'll make a significant impact.

This position sits at the intersection of business analysis, data analytics, testing, business intelligence, and emerging AI technologies. You'll partner with program teams, IT leaders, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate data, develop testing strategies, improve reporting, and help the organization responsibly leverage AI to access and understand complex data.

You'll also play a key role in helping non-technical users confidently use AI tools by developing prompt strategies, training materials, and best practices while ensuring data accuracy, governance, and compliance.

What they're looking for:

• 10+ years of Business Systems Analysis and requirements gathering
• Strong experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Extensive SQL experience for complex data extraction and analysis
• Experience developing test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability matrices
• Strong experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
• Experience supporting Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse environments
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience working with multiple internal and external data sources
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Experience validating reports, dashboards, and official agency reporting
• Understanding of data governance and data quality principles
• Experience developing and delivering training for business users
• Experience mentoring users with varying levels of technical expertise

Bonus points for experience with:

• Health and Human Services or other highly regulated industries
• Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse initiatives
• Responsible AI practices and governance
• AI prompt engineering
• Streamlit and Python
• Creating reusable AI prompt libraries and templates

In this role you'll help gather business and technical requirements, develop testing strategies, translate business needs into actionable data solutions, validate reporting accuracy, improve organizational data literacy, and serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. You'll also help shape how AI is responsibly used to retrieve, validate, and communicate data across the organization.
