Our busy shop is seeking an experienced lube technician to join our automotive service team. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks and fills, tire rotations, light bulb replacements, and inspections. This position requires some knowledge of the mechanical workings of different types of automobiles. Previous experience as a lube technician or automotive technician is desired. $15 - $21 hourly
Responsibilities:- Perform oil changes and fluid checks on customer vehicles, including draining and replacing engine oil, checking and filling transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids
- Offer suggestions to consumers for additional services based on mileage and vehicle history
- Track oil inventory and part usage, place reorders as necessary to keep the shop stocked
- Clean the shop floor and all work areas, and ensure all safety regulations are followed
- Lubricate chassis components and check tire pressure and tread depth
- Perform Video inspections and digital inspections of every car that is serviced
- High school diploma or equivalent
- This position requires excellent customer service skills
- Ability to operate vehicle lifts, tools, and other garage equipment safely
- Experience working on automobiles or as a lubricant technician of a year or more is preferred
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
