As a cardiovascular intensive care unit registered nurse, you will provide critical care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team at the facility. You must have current licensure as a registered nurse in massachusetts and graduation from an accredited nursing program. A minimum of 2 years of rn experience in cardiovascular intensive care is required. Basic life support (bls) and advanced cardiovascular life support (acls) certifications from the american heart association are necessary. A bachelor of science in nursing (bsn) is preferred. Skills in patient assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork are recommended. Familiarity with electronic medical record (emr) systems is helpful.
