Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU / 12-Hour Nights

Location

Spokane Valley, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend rotation | 1 holiday per contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting, managing patients with conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and ventilator dependency at a 1:2–3 ratio dependent on acuity
• Float within scope of practice across ICU, PCU, MedSurg, Acute Respiratory, and ED overflow units as needed
• Manage critical drips including heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, nitroglycerin, and vasopressors, as well as vent and airway management, chest tubes, central lines, and wound care
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitor telemetry for MedSurg and PCU patients; must pass cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start
• Utilize EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems throughout the shift
• Participate in shift safety huddles and adhere to mandatory break and meal period requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
• Traveler Telemetry Competency Exam required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Demonstrated skills in vent management, airway management, high-flow O2, central line management, drip management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with PCU-level patients including AFib RVR and progressive care surgical patients
• Charge RN experience and interest in taking on a charge role during the assignment
• Familiarity with wound vacs, nephrostomy tubes, JP/Hemovac drains, and PCA management
