Environmental Transactional and Regulatory Associate

Environmental Transactional and Regulatory Associate Day Pitney is seeking an associate with a minimum of four years of environmental law experience to join our well-established Environmental practice in our Hartford (preferred), New Haven, Connecticut or Boston, MA office. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience advising clients on complex environmental and regulatory matters in Connecticut, including environmental transactions and due diligence, regulatory compliance and enforcement, permitting, site remediation, state environmental regulations across all media, and risk mitigation related to real estate development and business transactions. Experience with environmental administrative proceedings, litigation, and enforcement matters before state, federal, and local environmental regulatory agencies is preferred. Experience with key federal environmental, health, and safety statutes and regulations; emerging contaminants and evolving regulatory standards; Massachusetts and New York state requirements; international chemical regulation and remedial obligations; and engagement with environmental regulatory bodies, including the Connecticut Siting Council, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Army Corps of Engineers is desirable.
