Support Counselor

Job Description Provide direct care and supervision in a supportive, therapeutic environment while documenting and reporting behaviors, occurrences, and conditions. Support and assist clients with personal care, daily living skills, and self‑help skills. Track and implement behavioral programs. Supervise recreational activities and outings, including transporting clients in agency vehicles. Available for overnights and weekends. Qualifications High school diploma. Minimum 1 year of experience working with developmentally disabled adults. DSP 1 and DSP 2 certifications required. Valid CA driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to be insured by the agency insurer. Effective communication, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to establish a therapeutic rapport with clients and families. Team player who is flexible with hours and scheduling. Successful completion of pre‑employment background check and drug testing.
