Behavioral Health Specialist (Internal title: Clinical Care Coordinator) Bremerton, WA BCC is a values‑driven organization providing family‑oriented behavioral health care for children, youth and families primarily in their own homes and communities. This role focuses on intensive, strengths‑based therapeutic mental health services and supports for children, youth and families in the community. Compensation: Starting Base Pay Range: $33.06 - $36.78 per hour Availability Pay: $75.00 per pay period (2 times per month) New Hire Sign‑on Bonus: $1,500 Relocation Assistance available Benefits: Dental Vision Pension Limited Flexible Savings Account (Section 125 & 132) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Vacation, Sick and Holiday 403(b) Employee Savings Plan Leaves pro‑rated for part‑time employment Supplemental insurances: Long‑Term Disability, Life and Accidental Death, Liability Training and Supervision: Extensive training in multiple clinical approaches and other areas Daily and weekly supervision and support with Clinical Supervisor as needed Responsibilities: Provide intensive and strengths‑based therapeutic mental health services and supports to children, youth and families in the community. Assess for immediate safety and stabilization needs; develop treatment plans, safety and crisis plans. Facilitate child and family team meetings and ongoing assessment and evaluation of treatment planning strategies, goals, and outcomes. Engage families with compassion, support, respect and enthusiasm for the role. Arrange necessary crisis response and stabilization services; complete and communicate safety/crisis plans with families and others. Respond to crises promptly and collaboratively. Prepare families for next steps in intervention, including team development, planning processes and natural supports. Customize helping approaches to fit the family's uniqueness, culture and interests. Brainstorm and negotiate strategies that build on child and family strengths. Consult with clinical supervisor, mental health specialists and others as needed and incorporate recommendations. Maintain productivity and documentation standards, ensuring complete, accurate and strength‑based documentation for all children, youth and families served. Provide and/or facilitate therapeutic responses supporting the overall plan, including individual and family therapies. Utilize parent/family expertise in problem‑solving around specific needs. Modify and adjust intervention techniques without changing the overall direction of the plan. Facilitate placement into foster care when needed, completing necessary paperwork and notifications. Facilitate others, including a team, to implement the plan from the beginning. Reevaluate, modify and redesign plans based on new information. Inspire confidence in children, families and team members about their strengths and ability to transition successfully. Arrange and negotiate ongoing formal and informal services and supports. Create and practice after‑care plans for post‑CCS involvement. Participate in an on‑call rotation with other clinicians and Clinical Care Coordinators. Work primarily from the FBH Bremerton site; services provided in community‑based settings and family homes. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, behavioral sciences or equivalent. 21 years of age or older. Experience serving children and/or families (e.g., mental health, social services, education) preferred. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, acceptable driving record. Ability to visually assess safety within community and family homes. Flexible schedule preferred over traditional 8‑5 Monday‑Friday facility‑based positions. Will willing to participate in on‑call rotation responsibilities. Successful background check required before employment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
