Key Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania (PA) teaching certification and Reading Specialist certification required
• Previous school-based experience supporting literacy and reading intervention
• Demonstrated ability to master reading instruction, develop engaging lesson plans, and implement formative assessments
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills essential; able to create a positive, focused environment
• Experience working in an urban school setting and comfortable adapting to varying student needs
• Must have reliable transportation to commute to the school each day
• Capable of completing all required Pennsylvania educational clearances
• Confidence using instructional resources aligned with district and state standards

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver reading intervention programs for elementary students (K-8) within the school
• Create differentiated lesson plans based on current standards to guide instruction and student growth
• Engage in formative assessments to track progress and recalibrate instructional strategies as needed
• Foster a supportive, high-expectation classroom culture
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to drive literacy success
