Senior Counsel – AI & Data EVERSANA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to serve as a hands‑on legal advisor for the company’s AI and data initiatives. The role will provide legal advice and risk assessment related to AI and data use across the enterprise, partnering with business, product, technology, Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams. Key Responsibilities Core Legal Responsibilities Provide expert legal counsel to business units Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements Identify, analyze, and assess legal risks and provide proactive advice Stay abreast of relevant legal, regulatory, and industry developments Collaborate effectively with Legal and Compliance and cross‑functional teams Manage outside counsel relationships and legal expenses Artificial Intelligence Provide legal advice and risk assessment on AI tools, models, and data‑driven initiatives Identify and assess legal risks related to IP, data use, privacy, regulatory compliance, and contracts Apply sound legal judgment to evaluate AI use cases and provide clear, business‑oriented guidance Serve as advisor to business, product, and technology teams supporting AI enablement Enable teams to move forward in a responsible, compliant, and commercially viable manner Intellectual Property, Data, and AI Advisory Act as subject matter expert on AI‑related legal issues with a focus on IP and data risk Advise on AI model development, training, licensing, copyright, and ownership of AI‑generated outputs Guide on data use, access, and privacy requirements Provide guidance on protecting enterprise IP while managing third‑party exposure Commercial / Contracting Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to AI, technology, and data use, including SaaS and technology agreements Address data usage provisions, licensing, training data rights, AI output ownership, indemnities, and risk allocation Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive behaviors and bias mitigation Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school 10‑12+ years of relevant legal experience, including advisory on technology, AI, data, or IP Strong ability to assess legal issues related to AI, data, and emerging technologies Track record of independently managing complex, cross‑functional legal matters to resolution Excellent communication skills with ability to deliver practical, business‑oriented legal guidance Preferred Qualifications Experience in the technology industry or with AI‑driven products and services Experience with data privacy frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA Strong background in intellectual property, especially copyright, licensing, or technology/IP transactions Expectations Travel: Less than 10% Hours: Monday‑Friday, 40+ hours per week Physical and Mental Demands The role requires frequent reaching, grasping, standing and/or sitting for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walking, talking, and hearing. Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level is usually moderately quiet with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
