Flavors Blender Operator - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities Add raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula. Drive a forklift to bring materials back and forth from the blender area. Verify and assure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product. Discharge blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size. Sample blended product. Package product in the prescribed package weight. Fill out the daily production report to document production, quality, and performance. Clean and sanitize the blender, sifter, and all support equipment. Sanitize the workstation and surrounding areas. Dispose of trash and garbage in dumpsters. Adhere to all department procedures and GMPs. Maintain all performance standards. Skills and Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; manufacturing experience preferred. Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Communicate with individuals and small groups. Read, write, and speak English. Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Complete Annual Operator Training. Physical Demands / Work Environment Stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear regularly. Lift and/or move up to 80 pounds regularly. Work and climb up to 60 ft. above ground. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions. Moderate noise level; hearing protection required in designated areas. Wear a respirator after a Doctor’s approval and successful fit and pulmonary test. Salary range: $17.00 - $25.00.
