Senior Structural Engineer

Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in South Carolina . This is a key management/technical position that serves customers in a highly regulated environment. The Company produces uniquely designed hardened structures which are subject to various governmental regulations and building codes, including state and IBC building codes. The role requires balancing technical expertise, regulatory compliance, customer collaboration to ensure high-quality, efficient designs, the opportunity to lead a technical team, drive innovation, and collaborate with key stakeholders in a highly regulated environment. What you will bring Department Leadership – Oversee engineering and design operations, workload management, and compliance with structural standards Structural Design & Compliance – Direct the creation of designs, drawings, and calculations for precast concrete buildings, wall systems, and foundations Customer & Team Collaboration – Work closely with sales, production, purchasing, and quality assurance teams to meet project requirements and delivery timelines Regulatory & Third-Party Coordination – Ensure adherence to state approvals, IBC codes, and assist with third-party inspections Training & Talent Development – Formalize a training program, conduct performance evaluations, and drive process improvements What you will do BS in Structural Engineering, PE license preferred 5+ years of experience (precast concrete and tilt-up structures a plus) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and familiarity with mechanical/electrical systems Strong leadership, critical thinking, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects, regulatory approvals, and customer specifications About Talon Hiring Solutions At Talon Hiring Solutions, we specialize in connecting talented individuals with companies that value their skills and expertise.
