Salary Range $18.22–$28.27 per hour About the Role We’re looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our clinical team across a fast‑paced healthcare environment. This role provides a range of clinical and administrative services to support clinical staff, ensuring timely and effective patient care. Responsibilities include collecting medical and social history, updating medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to maintain compliance with departmental policies. Responsibilities Prepare exam rooms for patient care, ensuring cleanliness and sufficient supplies. Assist in the collection of patient vitals, chief complaints, medical and social histories, and review medications to document allergies. Communicate patient status changes to the RN and other team members. Support clinical staff during examinations and procedures. Provide office clerical support: scheduling, pre‑authorization for exams and referrals, PAM assessments for Medicaid patients, and data entry. Handle lab support tasks such as phlebotomy, point‑of‑care testing, EKGs, and specimen collection. Maintain accurate medical records through properly filing in Medent (EMR). Conduct patient call backs for normal test results, medication changes, and upcoming appointments. Coordinate patient access to resources via the patient navigator when necessary. Additional Responsibilities Medical Assistant II is designated for Medical Assistants I who have achieved a specialty competency above required duties. This may include overseeing Coumadin clinics, electronic medical records extraction, chart preparation, medication reconciliation, podiatry radiology, and other practice‑specific documentation tasks. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior medical office experience preferred. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Proficiency with clinical equipment and EMR systems. Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills. Self‑motivated ability to function without constant direct supervision and to receive direction from multiple sources.
