Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Excellent communication skills Critical thinker Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Self-directed and motivated Ability to work independently Ability to multitask Description: The unit has 10 beds and a staffing ratio of 5 patients to 1 nurse. There are 3 staff members during the day shift: 2 RNs and 1 PCT. During the night shift, there are 2 RNs and 1 PCT. The primary equipment used includes telemetry monitors and EKG machines. The electronic medical record system in use is MediTech. Candidates will be preferred if they have experience working with emergency department, cardiac telemetry, and medical-surgical patients. There are no invasive procedures performed on this unit as it is an inpatient transitional unit. Weekend work is required, with a minimum of 2 weekends worked per month. There are no on-call requirements for this position.
