See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview :As part of the talented Lowe team, the role of a Quality Manager is to manage activities of workers engaged in inspecting all aspects of our boats. Applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures to drive improvements in products and customer satisfaction. Oversee quality assurance processes, for conformance to regulatory and internal product standards consistently across all production areas. Review reports and confer with quality assurance, production, management, and engineering personnel to solve work-related problems. Performs other duties as described below.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential Functions:Oversee assigned areas of QA, QE and QC processesLead and develop a team of hourly and salaried members for continuous career growthPlans and adjusts work priorities to meet daily, weekly, monthly goals and metricsDevelop formal quality inspection training requirementsAssure inspection/test skill and methods are executed consistently across personnel and processesAnalyze processes to identify and communicate improvement opportunitiesDrive process/quality improvements using formal methodologiesApply Lean Mfg. principles and Six Sigma tools to production and quality processesSustain product and process controls, act to correct process nonconformanceAnalyze product warranty data to improve internal processesReview/investigate dealer complaints/warranty issues to improve current control methodsOversee QCIS QC data input and boat tagging processContainment and verification of repairs related to finished goods inventoryParticipate in cross-functional walkthroughsAll other duties as assigned.Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, relevant industry experience along with certifications may be considered in place of degreeMinimum five-years of related work experience in QC/QA related fieldFormal Six Sigma trainingHands on at a shop floor level, working with individuals of the process to determine the "what it is" and "what it should be"Results orientated both quantifiable and quantitativeDistinguishing common cause from special cause to tailor problem-solving methodsDeveloping a pull Vs. push approach for quality within an organizationProject leadership experience with direct reports, possesses strong leadership, coaching; mentoring experience for leading a quality teamDeveloping strong working relationships with stakeholdersMust be well versed in quality methodologies with a practical approach to applicationProficient in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Demonstrate experience performing mathematical and basic statistical calculations and analysis including graphical reportingAbility to manage medium to large scale projects and Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsExperience developing process procedures and work instructionsFamiliar with the following: understanding electronic schematics/drawings, performing inspection.Working knowledge of production assembly processes, six sigma, lean, and kaizen activities, as well.Ability to interpret a variety of technical matter in mathematical or diagram formStrong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, the ability to effectively communicate cross-functionallyUnderstanding of customers' quality/reliability requirements and product expectationsSolid understanding and use of computer basics, and experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook.Preferred Qualifications:ASQ certifications desired: CQE, CSSGB CSSBB, CMQ/OE or ability to complete within 8 months of hire3 years Automotive or comparable regulated industry experience preferredProduct compliance/liability training experience desiredPrior marine experience and/or personal knowledge of boat operation and systems desirableTraining of NMMA and ABYC regulations beneficialExperience with gel coat, fiberglass, and assembly desiredWorking Conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high sound levels, welding processes, moving forklifts, elevated loads, and closeThe anticipated pay range for this position is $84,500-$123,900 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
