Job Title: RN Req #: 0000235048 Location: 165 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 Department: Oncology Unit - MCC-9 Status: Part-time Shift: Day Salary: $47.85 – $71.72 per hour Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Oncology Unit (MCC-9) at the Morris Cancer Center at the New Brunswick campus. This is a 32-bed oncology unit. All beds are private rooms. You will care for a variety of medical oncology, surgical oncology, other blood disorders and intermediate care patient populations. Required Qualifications BSN Strong communication and organizational skills Proficient computer skills Preferred Qualifications 1–3 years of oncology RN experience Oncology or BMTU certification preferred Certifications and Licenses BLS and ACLS certification Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license Scheduling Requirements Day shift, 36 hours per week, 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday–Friday, some weekend and holiday rotation Part‑time Essential Functions Provide nursing care in the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, upholding ethical standards as defined by ANA code of ethics. Ensure safety in practice, apply evidence‑based practice, maintain personal knowledge, and advance team knowledge through communication and resource utilization. Report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Maintain knowledge of the patient population served. Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other caregivers. Set and evaluate priorities, implement interventions with measurable outcomes, and continuously improve patient care. Serve as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager; use the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize care plans.
