Nutanix Infrastructure Consultant

ESP Enterprises, Inc. is sourcing an independent Nutanix expert on behalf of Conduent Transportation Solutions in support of their infrastructure team at SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority). This is a vendor-neutral advisory engagement - candidates with current Nutanix, Inc. employment or contracts will not be considered.

• Rate: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Scope of Work

The consultant will be engaged to review, assess, and redesign the existing Nutanix infrastructure at SEPTA. Specific responsibilities include:

• Review the existing Nutanix infrastructure design (8 nodes total - 4 at Primary site, 4 at Disaster Recovery site)
• Assess current architecture running AOS version 6.8.1.5 with VMware ESXi hypervisor
• Redesign infrastructure to achieve 99.998% uptime with improved redundancy and fault tolerance
• Provide a solution that supports hot-window patching with zero unplanned downtime
• Deliver a written design recommendation and implementation roadmap for the internal team to execute
• All work is advisory - no direct configuration changes will be required

Requirements

• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or higher strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with Nutanix AOS and VMware ESXi environments
• Demonstrated experience designing for high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR)
• Familiarity with hot-patching strategies in virtualized environments
• Government, transit, or large enterprise background a plus
• Must be fully vendor-neutral - no current employment or active contract with Nutanix, Inc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder guidance
