Oncology Clinic RN

We are adding a Full Time Oncology Clinic RN to our team at Barry Road Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm - No Nights or Weekends. This position can float to our Overland Park, Plaza and Lee's Summit locations. Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast‑paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified. Responsibilities Phone triage: schedule emergent‑need appointments. Patient follow‑up calls. Patient education on particular procedures and processes. Serve as subject‑matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units. Regularly meet with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments. Care for patients with a long‑term treatment process. Collaborate on a care team and provide face‑to‑face patient care. Maintain ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification. Qualifications Minimum 2 years applicable nursing experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross. Registered Nurse license. Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
