Collaborative Team Player: Registered Dental Assistant in San Diego Marina District Marina District Dentistry is seeking a dependable and personable Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our small, supportive team in San Diego, CA. Pay $25 - $29 per hour Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Shift & Schedule Work Structure: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday are full days; Tuesday is a half-day. Typical Hours: Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Weekends: No Friday or weekend hours (Saturdays and Sundays off). Requirements Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience required. Certification: Must hold a valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification or meet state requirements for dental assisting. Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills. Attributes: Team-oriented, reliable, dependable, personable, and committed to maintaining a positive work environment. Pace: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Preferences Experience with digital scanning technology, specifically iTero and/or CEREC scanning, is a strong plus. Job Description Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist with all clinical procedures, including exams, cleanings, fillings, and other treatments. Clinical Preparation: Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and adhering to strict Disinfection Procedures and infection-control protocols. Radiography: Take and process dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations. Patient Interaction: Provide clear pre- and post-treatment instructions to patients and ensure positive Patient Interaction. Records and Inventory: Document patient information accurately in charts or digital records (Managing Patient Records) and monitor/restock supplies, communicating inventory needs. Office Support: Support Front Desk operations and administrative tasks when needed.
